Elderly woman knocked to the ground during Poole robbery
The victim, in her 80s, had her handbag stolen
An elderly woman's been knocked to the ground and robbed in Poole.
The victim, who's in her 80s, was walking along Macaulay Road yesterday afternoon (Monday 24th April) at around 3.05pm when it happened.
The thief stole her handbag, containing cash and her doorkeys, from her walking frame before running off.
Detective Constable Kate Brew, of Bournemouth CID, said:
“The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, but thankfully she did not sustain any serious injuries.
“An investigation is underway and I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity.
“Also, I am appealing to the community to please check any CCTV systems for footage that may help our enquiries.”
