Dorset hosting TV's Springwatch from TONIGHT
The first episode of the new series will be broadcast from RSPB Arne later
One of TV's biggest nature programmes is coming Dorset throughout its latest series, which stars tonight (Monday 29th May).
Springwatch will feature RSPB Arne and the new Super National National Nature Reserve on the Purbeck Heaths.
Presenters Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan will be here for several weeks.
Dorset is one of the few places in the UK where all six native reptiles can be found, including the rare sand lizards and smooth snakes.
30 remote cameras have been set up to try and capture different species including birds such as green woodpeckers and Dartford warblers as well as tunnelling bees.
Senior head of commissioning for BBC factual Jack Bootle said:
