A seven hour FIFA Marathon's been held at a Dorchester school today (Monday 6th March) to raise money in aid of Duchenne UK.

Jensen Pittman, a pupil at Prince of Wales School, has DMD - an incurable degenerative disease.

His parents, Simon and Sabrina, set up 'Mission Jensen' in support of the charity that's supporting him.

The FIFA Marathon has seen the headteacher, Gary Spracklen, playing FIFA 23 as Manchester United, against Jenson's dad playing as Liverpool.

The match has been played out on the big screen in the school hall, with children invited to join in for a minimum donation of ÂŁ5.00 to Mission Jensen: Duchenne UK.

Children have also been able to wear sports kits into school today, in return for a donation.

Jensen’s parents Simon and Sabrina have said:

“Duchenne is a heart-breaking condition, but with the support of others we are determined to find a cure. Jensen and his sister, Mina, are very much looking forward to taking part in the FIFA Marathon Day at The Prince of Wales School and we are hoping for another big Liverpool win, just like last night at Anfield!"
