A CCTV image of a man Dorset Police want to speak to has been released, after a staff member was assaulted in a Poole store.

A male customer went into Home Bargains at Redlands at around 2.00pm on Thursday 2nd March.

A member of staff told him he wasn't allowed in, due to previous incidents, including abuse towards employees.

As he was escorted out, he spat in the victim's face.

Police Community Support Investigator Chris Hardy, of Poole police, said:

“This was a very unpleasant incident for the member of staff to have to deal with while they were simply doing their job.

“We have been carrying out enquiries and I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”

If you can help with any information, or can help identify the man pictured, you're asked to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55230033216.

You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
