Car roof jumped on and windows smashed in Bournemouth

Police say it's caused the victim 'a great deal of distress'

Police in Bournemouth are investigating a criminal damage incident, in which a car's roof was jumped on and the windows smashed.

It happened just before 12.30am on Thursday 21st December, involving a white Kia Sportage parked in Mount Road in West Howe.

A suspect jumped on the roof before using a heavy object to break the windows.

Sergeant Craig Neale, of Bournemouth police, said:

“We are conducting enquiries into this incident, which has caused a great deal of distress and inconvenience to the victim.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Mount Road during the early hours of Thursday 21 December 2023.

“I would also urge residents and motorists in the area to check any available home CCTV systems or dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
