Police are treating an incident on Mellstock Avenue as criminal damage

A brick's been thrown through the window of a house in Dorchester, with police investigating it as a criminal damage incident.

The glass was smashed and the frame damaged at an address on Mellstock Avenue.

The incident also caused damage to the bricks surrounding the window.

There's an appeal for witnesses who might have seen what happened, at some point between 3.30pm on Thursday (22nd August) and midday on Friday (23rd August).

PC Christopher Windows, of Dorset Police, said:

“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant timeframe.

“Also, I would ask residents in the vicinity to please check their doorbell cameras or home CCTV systems for any footage that may assist my enquiries.”
