Bournemouth man jailed for child sex offences
Noah Eckett-Graves was intercepted while travelling to Wales to carry out crimes
A man from Bournemouth has been jailed for eight years, after admitting child sex offences.
26 year old Noah Eckett-Graves has been sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court for two counts of arranging or facilitating a child sexual offence.
He'd been engaging in online conservations in August with who he believed was the mother of two young children, but was actually an undercover police officer.
Eckett-Graves had arranged to travel by train to Pontypridd in Wales, with the intention of meeting up with the mother and her children to carry out sexual offences.
He was intercepted by officers as he boarded the train at Bournemouth, and arrested.
Detective Constable Phillip Riggs, of Dorset Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT), said:
“Through the evidence obtained by the undercover officer and our investigative work, we were able to identify Noah Eckett-Graves as someone who intended to commit sexual acts with children and we worked proactively to detain him and hold him accountable for his actions.
“We will continue to work with our partner agencies to thoroughly investigate offences of this nature and do all we can to bring offenders to justice.”
