Sean Alexander Lewis was caught in the act by the victim
A burglar, who was disturbed by the resident of the house he was breaking into in Bournemouth, has been jailed for two years.
56 year old Sean Alexander Lewis was caught with his arms and head coming through a window of a house in Parkwood Road on 7th February.
The resident had been alerted after hearing a loud bang and smashed window of a downstairs room.
Lewis ran away after hearing the victim's screams.
Detective Constable Christian Bryant, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said:
“This was an extremely frightening incident for the victim in the safety of their own home, which has understandably had a significant impact on them.
“We are committed to identifying burglars such as Lewis and ensuring they face the consequences of their actions.”
