Boat moored in Weymouth Harbour burgled

A boat moored in Weymouth Harbour has been burgled, with thieves taking two laptops.

Two men are alleged to have boarded the TS Jack Petchey training ship between 2.45 and 3.00am on Thursday last week (20th June).

It happened right outside the Harbour Master's office.

PC Antony Frost, of Weymouth police, said:

“We are investigating this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or any motorists who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage, to please contact us.

“Also, I would also ask residents in the area with home CCTV or doorbell cameras to please review their footage for anything that might help our investigation.”
