Assault outside Weymouth doctors surgery
A man's been arrested in connection with the incident
A woman's been assaulted and had her mobile phone damaged, in an incident outside a Weymouth doctors surgery.
Dorset Police tell us it happened at around 9.15pm on Saturday 1st July, on the stairs by the Littlemoor practice.
A 29 year old local man, who's known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.
He's been bailed while enquiries continue.
PC Joseph Garrard, of Weymouth police, said:
“I understand there was a member of the public in the area, who was possibly a taxi driver, and attempted to intervene in the incident.
“I would ask them to please make contact with me as they may have important information to help my enquiries.
“Also, I am keen to speak to anyone else who may have witnessed what happened.”
