Assault at Christchurch pub leaves man with facial injuries

A man's needed hospital treatment after being hit in the face at a pub in Christchurch.

Police say the assault happened at around 10..30pm on Friday night (27th September) at the entrance to the Stourvale Inn in Christchurch Road.

The victim who's in his 60's suffered injuries to his face and shoulder.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Rio Baker, of Bournemouth East and Christchurch police, said:

“We are investigating this incident and have obtained an image of a man who we would like to speak to as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.”
