Appeal to trace owners of suspected stolen items

A haul of suspected stolen items have been seized by Dorset Police, with an appeal to trace the rightful owners.

Officers stopped a vehicle in the Blackwater Junction area near Christchurch on Tuesday afternoon last week (20th February).

A Cannondale road bike, thought to be stolen, was found in the car.

Two men - aged 58 and 23 and both from London - were arrested on suspicion of theft.

Another vehicle was then stopped in Ringwood Road in Longham later the same day.

Several power tools and gardening equipment were discovered, and suspected to be stolen.

A 17 year old boy from Bournemouth and a 16 year old boy from the New Forest area of Hampshire were arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen goods.

A search warrant was then carried out at an address in Arne Crescent, Poole that evening.

Officers seized a number of motorbikes thought to be stole, with a 21 year old man from Poole arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen goods.

All five people have been released on bail.

Police are now trying to get the seized stolen items back to their owners.

“An investigation is underway into this incident and we are carrying out enquiries into the theft of the items.

“I am issuing images of the stolen items and would ask anyone who has information about who they may belong to please contact us.”
