AFC Bournemouth will work with doctors and physios at Circle Health Group’s Harbour Hospital for the rest of the season.

Harbour Hospital will be providing healthcare services such as diagnostic imaging and specialist consultations to its first team as well as academy players.

John Swan, clinical service manager at Harbour Hospital, said: “When players have acute injuries and potentially ongoing injuries they need to be investigated as soon as possible and we've got MRI and CT scans as well as X-Ray and ultrasound.”

The partnership with the Premier League side will play a pivotal role in supporting the club’s players stay match fit as they embark on their 8th season in the top-flight of English football.

Mr Swan added: “The players will benefit from the services in a really fast manner and that's really important. The sooner the players can get seen, and we know what's wrong with them, the sooner we can act on it and give them the care they need.”

Harbour Hospital opened in 1996 and has been “an integral part of the Dorset community,” according to Rob Mitchell, the Commercial Director at AFC Bournemouth.

They’ll now be providing services to the whole club from the first team to the women’s teams, academy players and the disabled squad.

Mr Swan concluded: “We're proud to be able to support our local club and players playing in the Premier League. We think our services provide a really high level of care and match the standards the club expects.”
