The women's rugby world cup trophy is on show at Exeter Cathedral today.
The city's Sandy park stadium will be hosting a number of fixtures this Summer across the pool. knock-out stages and quarter final stages.
A spokesperson for the event said: "The prestigious Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 trophy will make a special stop in the city – giving fans and media a unique opportunity to get up close to the prize at the heart of this record-breaking tournament."
The record-breaking tournament has already surpassed all expectations with 300,000 tickets already sold, more than double the total attendance from RWC 2021 in New Zealand, and is now firmly on course to become the biggest Women’s Rugby World Cup in history, not just in scale, but in impact.Â
"The world map etched into the surface symbolises the game’s universal reach, celebrating the nations that have competed on the Rugby World Cup stage and the new pioneers who will carry the game forward.Â
"The trophy is currently embarking on a nationwide tour of England over the next three weeks across the eight host locations of London, Brighton & Hove, Exeter, Bristol, Northampton, Manchester, York and Sunderland, bringing fans and communities closer to the tournament in the build-up to kick-off."
