19-year-old taken to hospital following crash in Plymouth city centre

Police are appealing for witnesses and information

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash in Plymouth city centre.

Officers were called to Coburg Street, at a pedestrian crossing near to the James Street junction, shortly before 11.15am on Monday (10 June).

The crash involved a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman from the Launceston area, was taken to hospital where she is being treated for injuries which are considered to be life-threatening.

The driver, a man in his 40s from the Plymouth area, was uninjured.
