38-year-old woman suffers 'serious injuries' following crash in East Devon

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for dashcam footage after the collision at Shute

A 38-year-old woman is believed to have suffered serious injuries after a crash in East Devon.

Police were out on patrol when they came across the single vehicle collision at Shute near Axminster.

The casualty was treated by paramedics from South Western Ambulance Service.

It happened on the A35 on Saturday 11th December.

Anyone who witnessed what happened or who might have dashcam footage is being urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101.

In a statement, the force said: "On Saturday 11th December 2021, police officers from Devon and Cornwall Constabulary came across a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A35, Shute, whilst on patrol.

"The scene was attended by personnel from the South West Ambulance Service Trust who treated a 38-year-old female with suspected serious injuries.

"Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or were in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage are asked to contact 101, quoting log number 0028 of 11/12/21".
