Woman seriously injured after being hit by van in Exeter
It happened on Thursday night, and an investigation is now underway
A woman has been seriously injured after being strike by a van in Exeter.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Sidmouth Road at 7.50 on Thursday night, after receiving reports a pedestrian had been hit by a Ford Transit.
The woman was taken was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital initially but then transferred to Derriford Hospital.
Police say she has suffered serious injuries, and is receiving hospital treatment.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police have now launched an investigation, and are appealing for witnesses.
