Investigation after woman injured when stone thrown into train
The incident happened on Sunday (April 6)
The British Transport Police tell us officers are now investigating the circumstances after a woman was reportedly hit on the head - when a stone was thrown through an open window on a train.
They say it happened over the weekend (April 6).
In a statement, police added: "Officers received a report on 6 April following an incident of assault on board a train on Saturday (5 April) at around 5pm.
"Between Dawlish and Teignmouth railway stations, a woman was hit on the head after a stone was thrown through an open window.
"Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact officers texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 using reference 95 of 6 April.”
