Woman from Braunton charged with murder

A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man in North Devon.

Police were called to an isolated address in Braunton at 2.35pm, on Sunday 21 August following reports of a stabbing.

The man, now formally identified as 72-year-old Ian Rawle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Christine Rawle, 69, from Braunton, has been charged with murder in connection to this incident.

She remains in police custody and is due before Exeter Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 24 August.
