Woman found injured in Devon hotel room after alleged assault

A woman has been left injured in a Devon hotel room after an alleged assault.
Police were called to the Southgate Hotel in Exeter at 2:50pm yesterday, finding the woman in her 20s with a minor facial injury.
A man, who was known to the woman, had also barricaded himself within a room. He was threatening to harm himself.
At around 6:40pm, he left the room, uninjured and from his own accord. A television and sideboard had been damaged.
Officers have arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of criminal damage.
