Woman dies in Paignton crash

Goodrington Road was closed for eight hours while investigations took place

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal crash in Paignton.

Officers were called to Goodrington Road at about 6.20pm yesterday (Sunday 12 February) to reports of a single-vehicle collision.

The collision involved a grey Land Rover Freelander and the driver, a female in her 60s from the Torbay area, was declared deceased at the scene.

The passenger was unhurt.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended to investigate and establish how the collision occurred.

The road was closed for eight hours whilst this took place, and police would like to thank the public for their patience.
