Witness appeal after serious crash near Instow

Police are looking for witnesses to a serious crash near Instow on Friday (6 June).

Officers were called to a single-vehicle collision involving a grey VW Golf GTI on the B3233 at around 10.50pm.

The car is believed to have left the road, collided with a tree on the verge before returning to the carriageway.

Two men in their 20s were injured - one of them sustaining potentially life-changing injuries.

In a statement, officers said: "Two men in their 20s were injured in the collision, with one of them sustaining potentially life-changing injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment and their next of kin have been made aware and are being supported.

"Police officers, paramedics and the fire and rescue service attended.

"We would like to thank those members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene.

"The road was reopened just before 2am on Saturday 7 June.
