Two people taken to hospital with serious injuries following crash in Torquay

It happened outside Torre Railway Station in the early hours of Sunday

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a crash in Torquay.

It happened at approximately 2.00am yesterday morning (Sunday 10 January), involving a single vehicle outside Torre Railway Station on the A3022.

Two people who were inside the vehicle - both 34-year-old men from the South Hams and Newton Abbot area - sustained serious injuries and were conveyed to Derriford Hospital for treatment.

Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and a forensic examination of the scene was conducted.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"Officers are seeking any witnesses and or Dash Cam of the collision or witnessed a Ford Focus driving in the area at the time.

"They are requested to please contact them on the 101 system quoting log number 75 of 10th January 2021."

Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the road was re-opened.
