Two people rescued as car gets stuck on Paignton sea wall
The silver Volkswagen had its two front wheels stuck over the edge
Two people have been rescued from a car, hanging over the top of Paignton sea wall.
The silver Volkswagen had its two front wheels stuck over the edge.
Police, fire crews and coastguards were called to the scene and the vehicle was later removed by a recovery truck.
A statement from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said:
"One fire engine from Paignton and one fire engine from Torquay were quickly mobilised to the scene. On arrival, crews found one vehicle that had overshot a parking space and was resting on a small sea wall.
"Crews worked to stabilise the vehicle using a tirfor winch, small tools, and chocks, crews were able to assist the two occupants from the vehicle uninjured."
