Two people charged with attempted murder in Torquay

Police have charged two people in connection with allegations of attempted murder.

It follows an incident in the Castle Circus area of Torquay on Tuesday 9 January.

Ryan Dodd, aged 29, of Abbey Road, Torquay, has been charged with attempted murder, assault by beating, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage.

He is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 11 January.

Katie Rockett, aged 29, of no fixed abode in Torquay, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

She appeared before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 January and was remanded in custody.

Rockett is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday 8 February.
