Train services resume between Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren

Network Rail say engineers carried out extensive clearance and safety inspections over the weekend

Train services between Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren have resumed operation on both lines following disruption caused by Storm Ingrid.

According to Network Rail, engineers carried out extensive clearance and safety inspections over the weekend to ensure the tracks were safe.

Passengers are still advised to check their travel plans before heading to the station, as services may remain disrupted or take longer than usual.

Rail replacement buses

Rail replacement buses continue to run on part of the network between Newquay and Par due to flooding at Roche.

Network Rail Western added that footpaths adjacent to the railway between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren are currently closed for safety reasons while repairs are ongoing.

‘Please do not attempt to access the closed footpaths adjacent to the railway between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren,’ Network Rail Western said, adding that work is underway to fix the damage and reopen them safely.
