Refuse worker killed in Torquay collision

A man in his 20s has died after a fatal road traffic collision in Torquay.

Around 12.45 yesterday (Tuesday 27 May), police were called to a collision on Higher Warberry Road.

The incident is said to have involved a white bin lorry and a member of the crew.

A local refuse worker, in his 20s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and police are continuing to carry out their investigations.
