Two men suffer life-threatening injuries following Torquay crash

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious crash in Torquay.

Emergency services were called to South Street last night (26 April) with reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision.

Two men have been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"At around 8.30pm on Monday 26 April, police were advised of a single-vehicle road traffic collision in South Street, Torquay, involving a 124cc Stomp pit bike.

"Officers attended the scene along with the ambulance service, air ambulance and fire service.

"As a result of the collision, two men, both aged in their 30s, were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"Officers from the specialist Roads Policing Team attended the scene along with forensic collision investigators.

"The road was closed for a number of hours while a specialist examination of the scene took place."
