Third teen dead after Exeter Racecourse crash

A third teenager has died following a collision near Exeter in the early hours of Thursday 8 August.

It's after a single-car collision on an unnamed road near Exeter Racecourse

1\5 year old Ruby Campbell was a passenger in a silver Peugeot 107 when it crashed just after one am.

She was taken to hospital in Bristol where she died from her injuries on Sunday.

Hanna Green, who was 16, and the 18yr old driver also died in the crash, two 16yr-olds, a boy and girl, were also injured and taken to hospital.

Chief Inspector Si Jenkinson, of the Serious Collisions Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of all those involved in this truly tragic incident.

We know this incident has saddened and shocked the local community, especially as it involved such young people."

Police are appealing for any witnesses or information that could help their investigation.
