Teenager charged with rape in Exeter

Police have charged a teenager in connection to a rape in Exeter.

An investigation was launched, following reports that a woman aged in her 20s was attacked in the Newtown area in the early hours of last Sunday morning (3 October).

Bradley Garrett has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of attempted rate.

The 19-year-old is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates' Court today (Thursday 7 October).

Devon and Cornwall Police say the victim continues to be supported by specialist trained officers.
