Teenage boy remains in hospital following Torquay crash

His injuries are no longer thought to be life-threatening

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash in Torquay that has resulted in a teenage boy being hospitalised.

At around 4.00am on Saturday 31 December, a collision occurred between a Herald 125 motorcycle and a Peugeot van at the junction of Riviera Way and Newton Road in Torquay.

As a result of the collision a 15-year-old who was believed to be riding the motorcycle was taken to Bristol Hospital with head and leg injuries. The teenager remains in hospital, but his injuries are no longer thought to be life-threatening.

Police attended the scene, and a full investigation was conducted. The road was shut for several hours.
