A teenager has been seriously injured in a crash in Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the incident yesterday (May 7) at about 17:50.
When they got there, they discovered the cyclist seriously injured after a crash involving the bike and a white Transit van on Kings Road.
Officers said: "The cyclist, a boy in his teens, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Derriford Hospital by ambulance. He has since been transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
"Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team and local response officers attended the scene, which was by the entrance to Richmond Walk car park.
"Following a thorough examination the road was re-opened last night.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information regarding it – in particular anyone with any with Dashcam footage, are asked to contact us online or via 101 quoting 50250114197."
