Eight volunteers at Brixham Heritage Museum, who have been suspended since November 2022, are demanding to know why.

The volunteers are aged between 71 and 92 and say they still don't know why they have been stopped from volunteering there.

Sasha Rakonersty speaks for them: "I feel this is very unjust.

"The volunteers that were suspended have done over 100 years between them of service - that's free service - because they love the museum, they love Brixham history.

"Most of these people that were suspended are fundraisers, so they kept the museum going during the bad times.

"They baked cakes, they did Summer Fairs, they did Christmas Fairs, they did sponsored walks. They've put their hearts and souls into this museum."

We have contacted the Museum's Trust for a statement, which we will bring you if they respond.
