A seal which has become famous since she first appeared at Plymouth Sound last summer has now been taken into the care of the RSPCA.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue says she had become over-friendly due to people feeding her - and in the past week had left the beach and gone into the villages of Cawsands and Kingsands.

It was hoped that minimal interaction with people over winter would've seen Spearmint return to more wild behaviour.

The charity's now rehabilitating her, and a crowdfunder has been set up to help support her future care.
