A man was hospitalised following reports a vehicle crashed through a wall in Tiverton.
Officers were called to Siddalls Gardens at ten past six on Tuesday evening.
Devon and Cornwall Police told Greatest Hits Radio in a statement: "Police were called by the ambulance service at around 6.10pm on Tuesday 22 October following reports of a vehicle crashing through a wall and into a building at Siddalls Gardens in Tiverton.
"The driver, a man in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.
"He was then dearrested and taken to hospital.
"His injuries are believed to be minor."
