Exeter City manager Matt Taylor has been offered the top job at Rotherham United, who are looking to replace Paul Warne.

They've been without a manager since Warne left to join Derby County last month, with Taylor expected to make a decision this weekend.

In a statement, Exeter City said: "We can confirm an approach was received from Rotherham United to speak to manager Matt Taylor late this week.

"The club reluctantly agreed to the request and we await confirmation from Matt regarding his decision as to whether he will accept Rotherham's offer."

Rotherham are currently 11th in the Championship table, and lost 2-0 to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
