Drivers in Devon are being urged to take extra care today (Saturday 17 December) after lots of accidents and road closures.

Crashes across the county are being reported due to wintery weather conditions, mainly reports of ice.

The A30 in Kingsteignton has been closed after three accidents and hazardous driving conditions, but is now cleared. It was after a crash on A380 Northbound from B3195 to Wapperwell (Ideford).

The A385 in Darlington was affected earlier with delays due to ice and an accident. That has now cleared.

The A38 Eastbound, between Bickington to Heathfield is closed, with queueing traffic due to an accident involving an overturned vehicle. It's closed from A383 (Goodstone Junction, Bickington) to A382 (Drum Bridges, Heathfield).

Across many parts of the South West, the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice this morning.
