Every year the FA Cup throws up an intriguing story and this year is no exception.

Brixham AFC were defeated by Bridgwater United 2 - 1 at the weekend in the extra preliminary round of the cup. During the match, Bridgwater's Jack Taylor was shown the yellow card by the referee and was sent to the sin bin. This meant that he would have to sit out the match for ten minutes before re-joining.

However, the use of the sin bin is not used in the FA Cup. The FA described the referee's decision as "...an extraordinary incident in relation to the application of the Laws of the Game and competition rules". The football governing body now say the match has to be rerun.

The replay will take place at Bridgwater on Tuesday 17th, giving Brixham an unlikely second chance.
