A man has been rushed to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a serious assault in Teignmouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the incident on Dawlish Street at around 2.05am on Saturday (12 April), where it was reported that there was an altercation involving a group of people.
A man has since been released on bail.
In a statement, officers said: "The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital by an ambulance with facial and head injuries that are being treated as life-changing.
"A cordon was established at the scene while officers carried out enquiries into the incident. This has since been lifted.
"A 31-year-old man from Teignmouth has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He has been released on bail until Thursday 10 July, pending further enquiries.
