Police ' we want to avoid having to cut demonstrators from vehicles and railings during G7'

Devon and Cornwall Police say they will repeatedly ask any protestors blocking roads ahead of the G7 to remove themselves- before forcibly removing them.

Around 30 protest groups have confirmed they plan to stage a peaceful demonstration during next month's summit of world leaders - attending protest sites in Exeter, Plymouth, Truro and Falmouth.

The force say they are prepared for those who are planning to cause a disruption to residents to make their voices heard- and will deal with them appropriately.
