Police treating Woolacombe hotel fire as arson

A fire at a hotel in Woolacombe is being treated as a suspected arson incident, with investigations continuing.

The blaze was reported at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel yesterday morning (Wednesday 14th May) and is thought to have been started between 4.00 and 4.40am.

Firefighters dealt with the incident before any significant damage was caused.

Devon and Cornwall Police have shared a CCTV image of a man they're looking to trace in connection with what happened.

Officers say they're hoping someone might recognise them, despite the quality of the picture being fairly low.
