Police investigate stabbing on Collin Close in Plymouth

They say the man and woman were known to each other

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed two people - known to each other - were involved in a stabbing in Plymouth overnight.

Officers were rushed to the scene on Collin Close late last night (April 28) and are currently investigating.

In a statement, they said: "Armed officers attended the scene after being notified by ambulance control that they had received reports of a man with stab wounds outside an address on Collin Close.

"One man, aged 31, was located with serious injuries and taken to Derriford Hospital. He has since been discharged and has been taken into police custody.

"A woman, aged 36, was also located at the scene with injuries and was taken to hospital. She has since been discharged and taken into police custody.

"Both the man and the woman are known to each other.

"Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of the incident and a cordon remains in place at the scene.
