Two children among four with "significant" injuries after Plympton incidents

Two children and two women have been treated in hospital for "significant" injuries, after incidents in Plympton which police believe are connected.

Officers received a report that a woman was assaulted at an address on Foliot Road around 5pm on Friday (10th January).

They were then contacted about a further incident on Crossways, where a woman and two children had been assaulted.

A man is due in court tomorrow (13th January) in connection.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police added: "All four people received hospital treatment. Their injuries have been described as significant but not life threatening.

"Numerous police units, including the police helicopter, attended the area to assist with the incident. Following extensive searches, a man was arrested on Derriford Road.

"Brandon Wyatt, aged 21 and of Pasley Street, has been charged with a number of offences including Aggravated Burglary, Wounding, Grievous Bodily Harm and Actual Bodily Harm. He is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates Court on Monday 13 January.

"Detectives state that the incident was isolated and there is no immediate risk to the public."
