A Plymouth MP is asking residents who are still without water supplies following a burst pipe at the weekend to contact him.

Fred Thomas has set up a survey, with the aim of tracking ongoing problems, to be passed on to South West Water.

The supplier says the issue has now been fixed, but admits some outages may remain due to 'airlocks'.

The Labour MP for Plymouth Moor View, Mr Thomas is now asking residents in the affected area to fill out his survey online.

He's says he's also pushing for South West Water to give improved compensation to everyone that has been impacted.

Fred Thomas, MP for Plymouth Moor View, said:

“I have been appalled by how this has been handled by South West Water. Their leadership have been missing in action as people in my patch have been without water for days.

“I am shocked to hear that many residents and businesses still do not have water despite assurances from South West Water and I now need people to fill in this survey so I can track it and uncover the truth.

“It has been too challenging for people to get access to water due to a lack of bottle collection points, and many vulnerable people were made to wait far too long for deliveries. I will keep holding South West Water to account and ensure people in Plymouth receive adequate compensation."
