A man has been sentenced to 26 years for sexually abusing three children.
22 year old Joe Pearson from Plymouth was convicted for rape and sexual activity with three girls - the youngest just 12 years old - between 2019 and 2020.
He was handed nineteen years in prison, alongside a further six years on an extended licence due to the danger he poses.
He's also been placed on the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.
Detective Sergeant Chris Kinski described Pearson as a "sexual predator who clearly targeted young girls."
DS Kinski also paid tribute to the bravery of Pearson's victims throughout their investigation.
"Their courage in reporting this sickening abuse to the police resulted in the conviction of Pearson," he said.
DS Kinski added that he hopes "outcomes such as these encourage other complainants to come forward and report offences that may have been committed against them."
"You will be believed and supported, and we will investigate fully in our pursuit to seek justice," he said, adding that "violence against women and girls is one of Devon and Cornwall Police's main priorities and this investigation highlights our commitment to securing convictions for these offences."
