A Devon food bank's revealed it was left a donation which was 26 years out of date.

Bosses at the Kingsbridge site say - while they appreciate all donations - they're asking people to check labels first.

Recently they've had coffee which should have been used by 1995, cous cous dating back to 2015 and a Christmas pudding that was only meant to last until December 2020.

A spokesperson said: "We are extremely grateful for the donations to Kingsbridge Foodbank.

"However please can you check the dates, and also only donate unopened food.

"There were donations left this weekend that were more than 26 years out of date."
