Woman, 20's, sustains serious leg injuries in Exeter crash

The collision involved a Red Ford Escort and a pedestrian

Police are investigating the circumstances that has led to a pedestrian being hospitalised following a crash in Exeter.

At around 11:40pm on Wednesday 1 December, a collision occurred on Western Way, Inner-By-Pass in Exeter between a Red Ford Escort and a pedestrian.

As a result, the pedestrian - who is a woman in her 20’s - was taken to Derriford hospital in Plymouth with serious leg injuries.

The scene was attended by the Alliance Roads Policing team, Armed Response team and locally based Response officers. The road was closed for around four hours as scene examination work took place.
