Owner 'hopes other dogs can enjoy the beach as much as Rex did'

A box of tennis balls have been left on Exmouth beach by a former dog owner - to bring joy to other animals after the passing of their animal Rex.

The box from 'the goodest of good boys' says Rex 'loved the beach' and the owner wanted other animals to 'enjoy this place as much as we did'.

It adds: "Rex, sleep well my ginger Prince."

East Devon's MP Simon Jupp has called it 'truly heart-warming and Devon County Council tweeted it saying it was a 'lovely gesture on Exmouth beach'
