Police have issued nine fines over the weekend for people breaching COVID rules.

Officers from Tavistock caught the rule breakers across Dartmoor and Yelverton airfield.

They say coming from Weymouth for a walk, or travelling to the Moors because you 'don't like Taunton' aren't 'reasonable excuses'.

Current guidance means you must not leave, or be outside of your home except where necessary.

Government advice also says if you do leave home for a permitted reason, you should always stay in your local area - unless it is necessary to go further.

Staying in your local area means stay in the village, town, or part of the city where you live.
