Night bus services start in Devon and Cornwall
It's after a successful trial in Barnstaple in December 2023
Night buses will be available to party-goers in North Devon and Newquay from today.
The extra late night services, running all summer, are to improve safety for women and girls in particular and also prevent any drink or drug driving.
It's funded by police and councils, with fares costing 2-pounds.
The services will continue until until the 7 September 2024.
Sector Inspector Andy Wills covers the Barnstaple area in North Devon. He said: “As the weather gets warmer, we understand that people want to get out and enjoy themselves. We just want to make sure they’re able to do so safely."
